What HereHum is, what it is not, and what we each agree to. Written to be read.

Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Who we are

HereHum is a service of Every Call Handled Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. These terms apply to everyone who uses HereHum by phone, text, WhatsApp, web chat or the website, and to every organisation that appears on it. Using HereHum means you accept them.

What HereHum is

HereHum helps people find local organisations and, where an organisation has joined, act with them: pass a note, be put through, or ask its receptionist a question. Listings are drawn from public sources and from organisations themselves, and say plainly which ones HereHum can act on.

HereHum is free for residents. HereHum Plus, which answers questions beyond the local, is a paid service for people aged 18 or over and has its own price and cancellation terms shown when you join.

What HereHum is not

HereHum is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 999.

HereHum is a directory and a messenger, not a party to anything you arrange with an organisation. Any booking, purchase, quote, treatment or contract is between you and them.

A listing is not a recommendation. We have not checked any organisation's qualifications, insurance, prices, availability or quality, whether or not it has joined HereHum. Where we say a listing is connected or answered by HereHum, that means only that HereHum can pass a note, book, or put you through. We show details as public sources and the organisation give them, and we may be out of date.

The order HereHum gives you is explained on the safety page: whether HereHum can act for you with an organisation, which organisations pay HereHum monthly to be able to do, then how well it matches what you asked and how near it is. Nothing an organisation pays beyond its level moves it higher, and a place in the order is not a recommendation.

HereHum uses artificial intelligence. It can mishear, misunderstand or be wrong. It never claims an organisation is available or quotes a price it has not seen; where it says it will pass a note or put you through, that is all it does.

Using HereHum

Use HereHum lawfully and for yourself or someone you are helping. Do not use it to harass anyone, to send unsolicited marketing, to scrape or copy listings, to test or attack the service, or to pretend to be an organisation or a person you are not.

We may limit how much any one number or person can ask in a day so that the service stays available to everyone, and we may stop serving a number that misuses it.

Notes, texts and calls

When you ask HereHum to pass a note or put you through, you are asking us to share what the note needs, which is what you want and how to reach you, with that organisation. We do not check what they do with it.

Texts from HereHum come from a HereHum number. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Calls to HereHum may be transcribed, and recorded where the Safety and trust page says so.

Organisations and listings

An organisation may be listed from public information, with a plain note that it is not connected to HereHum. Any organisation can correct or remove its listing at any time from its listing page; removal takes effect straight away and is not reversed by our own updates.

To claim a listing you must be entitled to act for that organisation. We check a claim by a call-back to its published number or another check described on the claim page, and we may undo a claim that turns out to be false. A claimed listing is the organisation’s responsibility: keep it accurate, lawful and yours to publish.

Being listed is free. Connect (notes passed to you), a desk on HereHum (bookings and answers worked by HereHum) and Answered day and night (your own receptionist) are paid services with their own agreement and prices, shown on the Join page and agreed when you sign up.

We may remove or edit a listing that is inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, duplicated, or that the organisation asks us to remove.

Your place in what HereHum tells people. HereHum orders the organisations it mentions like this. First, among the organisations that match what the person asked, those HereHum can act for them with (pass a note, book, or put them through) are listed before those it cannot, as long as they match about as well as the best of the others; HereHum can only act for you once you have joined a paid level. Within that group, organisations HereHum can book with or put people through to (a desk, or your own receptionist) are listed before those it can only pass a note to (Connect). Then, within each group, by how well your listing matches what the person asked, how near you are if they have said where they are, and, to a small degree, how often people have asked for you by name. An organisation asked for by name is listed first. Nothing you pay beyond your level moves you higher, and nothing you pay makes HereHum recommend you. We publish the same explanation for residents on our safety page, and we tell people, each time the list is mixed, that among good matches the paid members of HereHum are listed first.

Keeping your place. Your place among the organisations HereHum can act on depends on the ability being real, not on the fee. Connect: the number or address we pass notes to must work; a note we cannot deliver, or three notes in fourteen days with no reply where you have told us you will reply through HereHum, puts you on notice. A desk: your diary must stay connected and your answers kept up; a diary we cannot reach for forty-eight hours, or two confirmed bookings you cancel within seven days without offering another time, puts you on notice. Answered day and night: the receptionist answering in your name must be reachable; forty-eight hours unreachable puts you on notice. None of these counts where the cause is on our side: our systems, our connections to your diary, or our own messages failing to send.

On notice means an email to you saying exactly what we saw, when, and which rule it falls under, and seven days to put it right or to tell us we have it wrong. If it is not put right, we pause your standing: your listing stays; its badge says HereHum cannot act for you at the moment; you are ordered with the organisations that have not joined; and people who ask are told HereHum can only give them your details. Your fee for the level is paused from the day standing is paused until it is restored, and we restore it as soon as the ability is back, with no new fee. You may cancel at any time as usual. A pause of your HereHum standing does not change any separate agreement you have with Every Call Handled Ltd for your own receptionist. To ask us to look again, email hello@herehum.com; we reply within five working days.

Fees

Residents pay nothing. HereHum Plus is from £4.99 a month, cancel any time, and stops at the end of the paid month. Organisation services are billed monthly by Every Call Handled Ltd, in pounds sterling, and VAT is added where it applies. Prices may change with thirty days’ notice.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.

Otherwise, to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, services or goods of any organisation on HereHum; for the accuracy or completeness of information drawn from public sources or supplied by an organisation; for any decision you make in reliance on HereHum; for a note or call that is not received, is delayed, or is acted on late; for HereHum being unavailable; or for any loss of profit, business, opportunity or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Where we are liable to you, our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or £100 if you paid none.

If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded.

Content and ownership

HereHum, its name, its pages and its receptionist are ours. Listings you add or correct remain yours; you give us the right to show them on HereHum and to pass them on when a resident asks. Do not copy the directory.

Ending and changes

You can stop using HereHum at any time; use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to texts, or ask us to delete your details. We may suspend or end access for misuse or if we stop the service, giving notice where we can. We may change these terms; the date at the top says when, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it.

We give organisations on a paid level at least fifteen days' notice by email of any change to these terms that affects them, and they may end their level before the change takes effect.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away a consumer’s right to bring a claim where they live. Questions: hello@herehum.com.
